Jill’s videos keep getting better!
It’s amazing to me that we still call CNN, NBC, or in Canada CBC, mainstream media. Most people don’t get their information from these sources anymore. And the politics they preach are nowhere near mainstream. They are more like, leftist fringe.
What am I talking about? The number who get their news from TV is tiny compared to the internet.
And don’t blame the medium … It seems people don’t like the message.
More and more people are suspicious of the news … and they should be … see this quote?
“Nothing can now be believed which is seen in a newspaper…”
It’s from 1807 … Thomas Jefferson wrote it.
Generally ratings are pretty simple … if people LIKE the message … they keep watching and listening … if the don’t they tune out.
Let’s look at some numbers.
Right now when it comes to TV news in the United States, Fox News is usually number one. But, it’s not like tens of millions are watching. If FOX gets than 2-and-a-half viewers a night during primetime that’s a huge win.
Let’s put that in perspective. That’s less than 1% of the American population. That’s a small audience when it comes to new media.
